How to set a positive birthing intentions.

Positive mindful intentionsSetting a positive birthing intention, focuses your attention on the intention of a positive natural child birth. Begin by eliminating the possibility of setting a negative birthing intention. Our current cultural systems are biased towards negative birthing intentions. By setting positive birthing intentions you allow yourself and your mind to see how this will be accomplished.  Without positive birthing intentions you leave the process in the hands of fate.

Follow these steps to set a positive birthing intention:

1, Connect with your baby

Take time to sit with your hand on your tummy.  Visualise your happy and healthy baby slowly growing deep within you. See the umbilical connection from your tummy to theirs, look closer and follow it with your minds eye, Visualise a yellow glow of light as you trace the path of the cord between you.

2, Write pregnancy affirmations

Take time to write some affirmations for examples see pregnancy affirmations focus on your intentions for a healthy pregnancy. Or choose some from my affirmation bank. Once written  it is important to focus on them everyday from early pregnancy, you can read them from your script, or you can record your voice reading them and listen to it every day, or request me to record them with your choice of music background.

3, Visualise your best possible birth

Think about your up and coming birth. Project your mind into the future.  Imagine that everything has gone as well as it possibly could. Visualise yourself practising your relaxations.  Taking regular exercise. Eating health foods which nourishing your child.   You have worked hard and succeeded at accomplishing all your pregnancy and birthing goals.  Think of this as the realisation of all your birth dreams

4, Write about your best possible birth

Now write about what you imagined for 15 mins try this for 15 mins for 4 days in a row.

5, Write Birthing Affirmations 

Based on the above experiences write your birthing affirmations. or choose one from my affirmation bank. Again, it is important to focus on them everyday from 20 weeks into pregnancy, you can read them from your script, or you can record your voice reading them and listen to it every day, or request me to record them with your choice of music background.
